Call of Duty Companion App Now Available

Call of Duty Companion App

Game publishers have been trying to figure out how to integrate mobile devices with console and PC gaming. One method that is popular is the companion app. Basically companion apps offer fans supplementary connections to bigger games. These apps offer news, tips, ranking information, friends management, and other little details fans may want. Activision has just made available their companion app for Call of Duty.

The Call of Duty companion app allows keeping track of your friends, if they are online or not and comparing their achievements to yours, and you can form squads with up to 20 other players. Along with that stuff is the opportunity to check out customized to you match reports that feature gameplay analysis. This analysis includes up to the moment stats on weapons, equipment, and other stats that might help you improve your game.

This is not the first time a game publisher has made a companion app available. Fans can get them for FIFA 19, Destiny 2, World of Warcraft, Battlefield, and Red Dead Redemption II. These companion apps all do similar things and that is continue the connection between fans and the game they are immersed in. Some are better than others.

For the truly dedicated Call of Duty players out there this companion app is going to be a must have install on their mobile device. Nothing wrong with that as I would probably install a companion app for games like Super Mario 3 if they were available (who doesn’t want to know their total coins collected and other stats?).
