Many have tried to dethrone the mighty Nintendo from their pedistal built around hand held gaming. Those same companies have failed, some damn near into bankruptcy over their failed hand helds. It takes clout, it takes deep pockets and exclusive titles to even make a dent in the armor that the Game Boy built.

May 25th, 2013
triverse Fighting games have been a part of gaming since the days of Karateka, with each new generation of hardware comes some form of an update to the classic formula. For too long, those updates were simply graphical in nature rather than innovation in the game play. Enter Combo Crew from The Game Bakers, or as [...]

May 24th, 2013
triverse Anyone that was a gamer from the early 80′s onward probably remembers when Tetris was released on the original Game Boy (the pea salad green screen version). March 18th, 2013
triverse Overhead scrolling shooters, once a proud genre with their close cousing- the side scrolling shooter, is almost an endangered species of gaming. Sure, we get the occasional retro release from Capcom (how many times can fans be expected to buy yet another copy of any of the 194x series?), but fans want new original action. [...]

March 17th, 2013
triverse Retro is all the rage right now with everyone throwing stuff up that used to be old from Pepsi doing the “throwback” thing with their two most popular soda lines to game companies really getting behind the act of releasing old games on new hardware (shame none are doing it for magazines yet). Here are [...]

March 11th, 2013
triverse Deep Dungeons of Doom is another title in the up and coming venerable 8-Bit throwback genre, this time in the Rogue-like dungeon crawler sub section. Co-developed by MiniBoss Studios who are in Brazil (who STILL have a thriving Sega Master System and Genesis market) and Bossa Studios, Deep Dungeons of Doom looks to bring gamers [...]
