Fetch Water in Ayo a Rain Tale, Out Now on Mobile

Ayo A Rain Tale

Clean drinking water is a benefit that most of us take for granted. There are plenty of people in the world that do not have access to clean drinking water, or clean water at all even to cook with or bathe in. Ayo A Rain Tale aims to bring this plight to the forefront in a new 2D side scrolling adventure game. Ayo is available now on both Android and iPhone.

This is not just a game trying to make you feel bad because you have things others don’t. Instead, it just aims to remind us that life is not always that easy for others and if we can help, why not do it? Ayo A Rain Tale shows the plight of a young girl tasked with first finding, then toting back, about 40 pounds of water on her back. The challenge comes from the environments that she faces – I swear, in the trailer I saw a 60+ foot long snake flash by. If that is the case, I am out, I will donate to a cause helping people get clean drinking water.

Seriously though, the enemies that Ayo faces are not exactly “normal” because some creative liberties had to be taken. The basis of the narrative is still the same – people in Sub-Saharan Africa face challenges like finding clean drinking water on a regular basis. Daily in fact.

Ayo A Rain Tale features many levels of challenges, night and day cycles, caves, spiritual journeys, and more for players to traverse in their quest to bring clean drinking water home.
