GpAlice Brings Classic 2D Action Platform Game to GP32 Hand Held

This is basically a fan retelling of the classic Alice in Wonderland story. The twist is it is told through a 2D side scrolling action platform game. Hey, it is more original than a digital comic, right?

Alice must collect fruits and gems while avoiding spikes and other obstacles. Much like Super Mario Bros, when you collect a mushroom you change. How you change depends on the mushroom collected. Small mushrooms make you small, big mushrooms make you big. Simple concept that took Super Mario how long to implement?

There is even a two-player mode for those that have a friend that happens to also own a GP32 hand held. Good luck with that as I am sure most of the people reading this are just now hearing about the GP32. The two-player mode is not perfect – it is much like Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo Entertainment System, alternating player turns.

The GP32 is not exactly a commercial powerhouse, now or when it was originally released, so if you drop the dough on one be prepared to depend SOLELY on the independent, and homebrew, developer.

Grab your free copy of GpAlice from Onorisoft.free.fr and enjoy a good 2D action platform game. Alice is available for Dreamcast and other platforms as well (I will cover them later).
