I have wrestled with writing this post for over a week now, I am not interested in writing negative reviews or articles since there are so many great games that deserve more attention and don’t get it on other sites.  Sometimes though, a negative article has to be written, this time it is for Sega’s Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition on Android.  I can only vouch for the lack of quality on the JXD S601 device so if you own anything else, still give the game a try- you may be able to play it and enjoy it.

Super Monkey Ball 2 runs fine on the S601, up to the point of actually getting to play (there is a tutorial that MUST be completed to actually play the game).  At this point, probably due to the lower resolution screen, the necessary controls are off the screen and therefore blocking getting any farther in the game.  Please refer to the pics to see what I am talking about here.

The problem here is that Google Play says that Super Monkey Ball 2 will run on the JXD S601 when it will not.  Rather than being a negative article, this is meant to be a precautionary one for owners of the JXD S601 device, save your money.  There are plenty of great games that run fine on this little hand held (both free and paid).  There are also a ton of Apps that run fine on the JXD S601 and Google Play says they will not run for some reason (like Virtua Tennis Challenge, also by Sega- don’t worry, we are working on getting them to officially support the S601).
