KEMCO Releases Fernz Gate onto iPhone, Android, iPad, and iPod Touch

Fernz Gate KEMCO Android iPhone

If you are a fan of role-playing games on mobile devices then you are probably very familiar with KEMCO. They put out a lot of RPG’s for both iPhone and Android and for the most part, they are some of the better adventures available on either platform. Their latest release is Fernz Gate which is a 2D turn based RPG that twists the norm of the genre to expand into new areas.

The story from the press release:

After awaking in some unfamiliar woods, Alex, an ordinary high schooler living an ordinary life, learns he has somehow ended up in Fernland, a world where peace and order have been replaced by conflict and destruction. Fighting to defend himself from monsters, the ever-ominous threat of the Overlord, and one chaotic event after another as he tries to find his own place in this new world, Alex comes across a young woman by the name of Lita from a peaceful world like his own. Hitting it off, they soon become friends and set out together, but what hidden truth awaits them as their adventure begins to unfold…?

The battles are 2D turn based affairs that make use of tap controls for quick, intuitive, fights. As you progress in Fernz Gate the enemies will, of course, increase in power and number. That means working your party to the bone between battles and this is where Fernz Gate starts twisting the norm.

As you play Fernz Gate you will run into new characters referred to as “buddies”. These buddies will join your party and quickly outnumber the available team slots so you have to figure out what to do with the extra buddies. Taking advantage of the Secret House players can send extra buddies off on little adventures of their own to collect items to help in the quest or manage planters that grow fruit that will aid your quest.

Fernz Gate is not your run of the mill RPG. KEMCO have infused a new angle to the old genre which will surely be welcome by fans.
