Preview: Max Payne Mobile – JXD S601 Android

One thing that many detractors of the Android platform bring up is the lack of really polished, good looking and good playing titles.  Rockstar Games has answered those complaints with a little title called Max Payne Mobile and it runs quite well on the sub $100 JXD S601 Android device (all screen shots are from the S601).  Much like Virtua Tennis Challenge, you won’t notice the lower resolution screen while playing, the graphics and game play is just that good.

Max Payne is a cop who lost his family and every reason to live, or do a lawful job on the police force, all in one night.  Setting out to avenge their deaths, Max is laying down vigilante justice left and right in 3rd person 3D (the controls are great, though the touch “look” takes a little to get used to).

Don’t wait for our review of Max Payne Mobile in an upcoming issue of Gaming on Batteries, just go get it now on Google Play, you will appreciate it.  If you are squeamish,  don’t like violence or generally against fun games then skip this one.
