SHIFT was a rather popular game when it was released to the tune of over 20 million players worldwide enjoying it. With the latest iteration hitting the Nintendo 3DS, there is a “shift” (bad pun) in perspective to 3D with Shifting World from Rising Star Games. Not only is the perspective getting a change but also the art direction and a new level generator in Shifting World. Anyone remember the disorienting gameplay of titles like PO’ed (3DO, PSOne and PC) or titles like the Metroid Prime series will be in for a treat with Shifting Worlds and it’s play on your visual senses.
Switching from 3D to 2D is as simple as hitting a button (and a necessity in some levels). Speaking of levels, there are over 60 of them to mess with your eyes across Adventure, Bonus and Time Attack Modes. Not only are the levels able to be changed from 2D to 3D but also the backgrounds can be changed from black to white and vice versa, adding a new level of thinking to the puzzles.
