Zelda Breath of the Wild Switch Versus PC Comparison

If you want to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the best possible graphics then you probably already know, you need to do it on a PC using an emulator (we are not advocating piracy). While Breath of the Wild looks great on the Switch, it is simply blown out of the water using CEMU on a powerful PC. Don’t believe me? Check out the comparison video for proof.

The colors are washed out, details seem to blur, and generally the Switch version pales in comparison to the emulated version on a PC. I am not trying to trash the original but seriously, no one can tell me that the Nintendo Switch version is the better looking of the two here.

Look at the town scene at about 2:30 in the video. On the Nintendo Switch, it is a beautiful scene, grass flows in the wind and little petals float by in the breeze. A few seconds later and it is almost like it is a new scene as viewed on the CEMU emulator. The lights pop, the colors in the signs stand out, and just generally, everything looks great.

Go back to about 0.45 in the video and look at the blue scene that shows up. On the Nintendo Switch it is just that, mostly blue and washed out. Everything seems to be a shade of blue. Let the CEMU powered version slide into place and OMG, there are more colors in this scene than you might have expected. There is a brownish tint to the background that is simply not there on Nintendo’s platform. Seriously, look at it. You can barely make out the background on the Switch. The CEMU version shows A TON of detail in that same scene just in the background – not to mention the foreground.
